AbleNet, Inc. Introduces the Cordless Big Red Switch!
AbleNet, Inc. has introduced the Cordless Control System that allows the safe and simpole activation of a variety of devices while eliminating the switch cord. "With the removal of the switch cord, you can easily position a user anywhere in the room, pass a switch around during group activities and activate a moving toy," said Peggy Locke, Ph.D., director of education services. "There are no longer disatractions caused by the switch cord, and the amount of equipemnt needed on the lap tray ius kept to a minimum."
The Cordless Big Red® Switch must be used with one of two receivers. The Batery-Powered Receiver plugs into any switch activated devices you already have such as, computer switch interfaces, communication aids, control units (like the PowerLink 2® control unit), and battery adapted toys or appliances. The Small Appliance Receiver plugs directly into the wall and controls low wattage appliances such as fans, lamps or radios.
"This cordless control system is part of a very exciting group of new AbleNet products," continues Locke, "because it will allow individuals access to a wider range of activities in many different environments." Including individuals in activities is now easier than ever with the new AbleNet Cordless Control System."
