Announcing Chip & Friends™

from the Computer Learning Foundation™

Now you can introduce your children at home or school to responsible and ethical use of computers and software with these new entertaining and educational Chip & Friends kits. Created by Gale Warshawsky and produced by The Atterbury Foundation, each Chip & Friends kit includes a video featuring a cast of delightful puppet characters that children will surely love, an instruction guide for parents or educators, a children's activity guide and a stuffed Chip puppet for children to enact their own creations. The charming video puppets, Chip and his friends, Silicon Sylvie, Sandy Software, and Gooseberry, and their encounters with video villain Dirty Dan, are sure to captivate young children as they learn important lessons about how to be responsible users of computers. The video puppets and activities lead children to understand how to take care of computer equipment, how to properly handle disks, the importance of saving and backing up their work on the computer, what passwords are and how to protect them, and the importance of respecting others' privacy, electronic property, copyright, and ownership of electronic information and files.
