Stage One:  Cause and Effect
  • The learner begins to focus on the screen and understand that she can control the computer using her input device

Stage Two:  Language Readiness
  • The Learner begins to absorb language by understanding that objects have names and actions have words to express them.

Stage Three: Emerging Language
  • The learner makes choices to demonstrate an understanding of everyday language by identifying objects, categories and functions

Stage Four: Early Concepts
  • The Learner focuses on traditional academic and social readiness skills such as recognizing letters and numbers, counting, creating patterns and so on

Stage Five: Advanced Concepts & Communication
  • The Learner expands basic literacy, math and problem solving skills and works with classmates in other traditional curriculum areas.

Stage Six: Functional Learning
  • The Learner applies academic and social skills to practical activities of daily living to become more independent in the community
